What Has AI Really Brought Us?

I use AI every day, but by 2026 I still cannot fully trust it, and I care more about real-world impact than model demos.

Lately I have been in a mental state I call AI fatigue.

I have used ChatGPT almost every day since it came out. I also use Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and DeepSeek.

By 2026, I still cannot fully trust AI output. Sometimes I can clearly see it is wrong, I correct it, and it replies with some version of "you are right."

The more that happens, the more frustrated I feel.

I ask it to edit images, and it often cannot do what I need. I ask it to write docs or resume content, and even when I give clear requirements step by step, it still misses the mark. A lot of times I end up starting a new chat from zero just to get something usable.

Technology will keep improving, so I am not trying to be dramatic.

What confuses me is this: if 2025 and 2026 are supposed to be the fastest years of AI progress, why does the real-world job market still feel so weak for many people?

AI should improve efficiency. It should help people do more in the same amount of time, with better quality, and create stronger innovation.

But right now, for many workers, it feels more like pressure than relief.

Beyond looking "tech-forward," what real value is AI creating in daily life today?
